What is the difference between a concept and a generalisation?
When you make a statement about all or most of the people or things together, you are making a generalization.
Eg: – All birds have wings.
Many children eat cereal for breakfast.
Solids dissolve faster if they are smaller and the solution is warmer.
Cold water will freeze faster than hot.
Concepts can be based on real phenomena and are a generalised idea of something of meaning.
Eg: – Income, Age, Education Level, Number of Siblings.
