What is programmed Learning?
Students use programmed textbooks and a few teaching machines, in a classroom or- organisation. The teacher opens the session by speaking to the whole class. The assignments are made, and the students then go to work. Everyone stays in the room until the teacher signals the end of the study period.
Programmed learning. A method of self-instruction that enlists machines or specially prepared books to teach information. Originally introduced in the mid-1950’s by behaviourist B.F. Skinner, programmed instruction is a system whereby the learner uses specially prepared books or equipment to learn without a teacher.
